221 Primavera
send this to a friendIn Mexico, each ethnic group has created a garment that serves as a distinguishing feature of their identity. One such group in Oaxaca uses elaborately detailed, colorful embroidery depicting flowers, birds and tiny romantic figures. The pansies, roses and forget-me-nots are painstakingly stitched onto fabric. Then the fabric pieces are put together with intricate handmade lace at the bodice and sleeve. Lace also finishes the neckline. The resulting blouse or dress is truly a work of fine art. Our Primavera design celebrates these traditional garments.
